TradeGid: crypto exchanges, futures and P2P from a working trader

TradeGid is the guide I wish I had in 2020, when I opened my first exchange account. It covers picking an exchange, funding it through P2P, trading spot and futures, and not losing your deposit on your first leveraged trade.

Who this site is for

I've traded crypto since 2020: started on spot, moved to futures, lived through a couple of liquidations and the 2022 crash. Almost every mistake described here is one I made myself. So the pages aren't about getting rich fast – they explain how the tools work and where the traps are.

TradeGid covers exchanges, futures and P2P with no promises of easy money.
  • Beginners – a step-by-step path from sign-up to the first trade, without jargon.
  • Spot traders – how futures, leverage, funding and liquidation work, with calculators.
  • People choosing an exchange – Binance, Bybit, OKX, Bitget and Gate compared by products and availability.
  • People cashing out – how to sell USDT through P2P and get local currency to your bank account or e-wallet.

The site is for people who want to understand what they click, not copy someone else's signals.

Start here: a beginner's path in 5 steps

This is the order I give friends who ask me to teach them crypto.

  1. Sign up on an exchange. Pick one in the exchange comparison and create an account. You'll want a second one later, but one is enough to start.
  2. Verify your identity (KYC). ID and a selfie. Without it, big exchanges lock P2P, larger withdrawals and most products.
  3. First deposit via P2P. You buy USDT from another user for local currency, and the exchange holds the seller's coins in escrow until they confirm your payment. The reverse is covered in P2P & cash-out.
  4. Spot first, then futures basics. On spot, the coin you buy is yours. Move to futures only after you understand leverage and liquidation.
  5. Risk management. Before your first leveraged trade, size it in the position size calculator. The rule that helped me most: risk no more than 1–2% of the deposit per trade.

Order matters more than speed: most beginner losses happen when people swap steps 4 and 5.

Which exchange to choose

There is no best exchange for everyone. One person needs options, another wants copy trading or stocks, a third just needs a P2P market in their own currency. Tick what you plan to use in the widget and it will keep the exchanges that fit.

Tick the products you need and see which exchanges offer them.

I keep accounts on more than one exchange myself: if one goes into maintenance or pauses withdrawals, the other is ready. The full comparison and review links are in Exchanges. Availability depends on your country, so check the exchange's terms before signing up.

How we write our guides

We check exchange fees, limits and products against official pages and add the date we checked. If we can't confirm a number, we don't print it – we point to where you can look it up. Illustrations and charts are our own, and the data on them is for teaching only.

FAQ

How much money do I need to start trading crypto?
On P2P the minimum order is set by each seller in their ad, and it is often small. For learning, use an amount you can lose without it hurting.
Can I trade without verification?
Big exchanges lock P2P, larger withdrawals and most products until you pass KYC. Verification is a standard requirement, not a trick.
Does TradeGid give trading signals?
No. We explain how the tools work and what the risks are, but we don't tell you what to buy. Trading decisions are yours.
