Bybit Referral Code: What It Gives, Where to Enter It, Real Bonuses
A Bybit referral code links your new account to whoever invited you and unlocks the exchange's referral tasks: under the rules as of November 2026, a new user can earn up to 250 USDT in rewards for a first trade and trading volume. The code only goes in at sign-up; you can't add it later. Ours is J8NKMG, and the link fills it in for you.

The question I get most is which code gives the biggest bonus. On Bybit, any code from the regular referral program unlocks the same new-user tasks, because Bybit sets the terms, not the code owner. Below is how it works per Bybit's Help Center as I re-read it on 1 November 2026, where the code goes, and where people usually slip up.
Sign up on Bybit through the link – code J8NKMG fills in automatically.

What a Bybit referral code is and what it does
A referral code is a tag that tells Bybit who invited you. It's written into your account at registration. From then on, for 365 days, Bybit pays the referrer a share of its own fee income from your trades – 20% to start. That money comes out of Bybit's cut; you don't pay anything extra.
- Links your account to the referrer, once and for good.
- Unlocks referral tasks for you: rewards for a first trade and trading volume.
- Doesn't change your fees – they're the same as an account without a code, per Bybit's fee schedule.
- Doesn't get around country restrictions or skip KYC.
- Doesn't pay you just for signing up – rewards are tied to trades.
The code is your ticket into Bybit's referral tasks and a line in Bybit's books. Bybit sets every amount and condition, not the person whose code you used.
Code J8NKMG: what you get with it
J8NKMG is TradeGid's regular referral code in the Bybit Global program. With it you get exactly the new-user tasks described below – no more and no less than with any other code in that program. There's no separate bonus from us, and I won't pretend otherwise.
Bybit sign-up bonus: what new users actually get in 2026
On 10 October 2026 Bybit changed the referee tasks. The old version paid for a 100 USD deposit; the new one is all about trading. Here's what Bybit's Referral Program FAQ says for users registered after 10 Oct 2026, 12:00 UTC:
| Task | Condition | Reward for you |
|---|---|---|
| First trade | A trade of 50 USD or more within 14 days of sign-up | 50 USDT |
| More trades | 500 USD cumulative volume within 30 days after the first trade | 100 USDT |
| Advanced trade | 10,000 USD cumulative volume within 30 days after the first trade | 100 USDT |
As of November 2026, per Bybit's FAQ (updated 10 Oct 2026). Volume counts across spot, derivatives, options, Convert and a few other products; zero-fee pairs don't count. Rewards go through a 3-day risk review and expire if not claimed within 10 days. Terms can change – check the Rewards Hub in your account.
That adds up to 250 USDT, but it's a ceiling. The same FAQ has conditions that code ads tend to skip:
- The pool is capped. 500,000 USDT a month with a daily claim limit, first come first served, with priority to higher-volume referees.
- The reward form isn't specified. The FAQ doesn't say whether these USDT are withdrawable. Under the Rewards Hub rules, bonuses and Fee Savers can't be withdrawn – only profits made trading with a bonus.
- KYC is required. You can't trade on Bybit without Standard KYC, and the Rewards Hub requires KYC to claim anything.
- Bybit Global only. The program runs on bybit.com; Bybit EU and other regional platforms have their own rules.
- Volume isn't free. 10,000 USD of spot volume costs about 10 USDT in fees, plus price risk. Trading just to hit a bonus is a bad idea.
What you actually receive depends on the pool and on how much you trade. Treat it as a bonus on top, not a reason to open positions.
Up to 30,000 USDT, 20 USDT, no deposit: where those numbers come from
Code ads and Reddit threads love "up to 30,000 USDT" or "20 USDT free". Neither appears in the Bybit Help Center articles I checked. There's no no-deposit bonus in the referral program either: the first task is a 50 USD trade, so you need money in the account. Bybit's intro to the program also mentions a 100 USD Welcome Gift but gives no terms – look for them in the Rewards Hub after you sign up.

Where to enter the Bybit referral code
The field sits on the sign-up form under your email or phone and is labelled Referral Code (Optional). Bybit's registration guide (updated 17 Aug 2026) says to enter it before you click Sign Up Now. If you came through a link, it's already filled. The web and app flows are the same.
Documents, the face check and account security are covered step by step in Bybit sign-up and KYC.
Can you add a Bybit referral code after registration?
No. Bybit's registration guide says that once the account exists, the code can't be added, changed or removed. The confusion comes from a different article about affiliate codes (updated 5 Jun 2026). That's the separate Bybit Affiliate program for influencers and communities, and it does have an exception.
| Referral code (Referral Program) | Affiliate code (Affiliate Program) | |
|---|---|---|
| Who issues it | Regular Bybit users, J8NKMG included | Bybit Affiliate partners |
| Add after sign-up | Not possible | Within 14 days: Account → Account Info → Join an Affiliate's Community |
| Requirements | – | Main account only, with no code already bound |
| Change or remove | Not possible | Not possible |
Per Bybit's Help Center as of November 2026. The affiliate article states that referral codes from other users can't be added this way.
Common Bybit referral code mistakes
- Opening the site directly and missing the code field – after sign-up there's no fix.
- Pasting the whole link parameter. Our link has a technical suffix after the code; by hand you only type J8NKMG.
- Signing up with Google or Apple and rushing past the form without checking the field.
- Picking a country you don't live in. You'll land on the wrong platform, and KYC won't match your documents.
- Waiting for a bonus without trading. The first task needs a 50 USD trade within 14 days, or the next tasks never unlock.
- Not claiming in time – you get 10 days after a reward is issued.
Almost every mistake happens on one sign-up screen. Check the code field before you click the button and most problems disappear.

Bybit EU and other regions: does the code work?
If you live in the EEA, Bybit sends you to bybit.eu, a separate company with its own referral program. For referees registered from 16 Sep 2026 it pays 5 USDC for a 100 USD top-up plus 100 USD of spot trading within 15 days, and 25 USDC for 50,000 USD of spot volume within 30 days. KYC is required, Malta is excluded, and the code can't be added after sign-up. J8NKMG is a Bybit Global code, so I can't promise it binds on bybit.eu.
Outside the EEA the global program applies. India: Bybit is registered with FIU-IND and Indian users pay 18% GST on fees. Nigeria: available, with zero-fee NGN P2P for takers. Philippines: new sign-ups halted since November 2025. US: not available. Bybit also says it may run region-specific programs, so if you're in South Africa or elsewhere and see a different offer in the Rewards Hub, that's why. Country details are in the Bybit review.
Bybit Card and Bybit Pay referral codes
Bybit Pay has its own referral program: 2.5 USDT each to referrer and referee if the referee activates Bybit Pay and spends at least 10 USDT within 90 days, not available in the EEA (as of 20 Oct 2026). The Bybit Card has a separate referral page too. Neither is the code you enter at sign-up.
Inviting friends yourself
After sign-up you get your own code. Under the same rules the referrer earns 20% of the referee's fees for 365 days (25–30% for active referrers) plus matching task rewards, capped at 5,000 USD in commission per quarter. If a referee doesn't trade for 180 days, the link may end.
