Gate.io referral code: where to enter it and what new users get
The Gate.io referral code is UVRGV1FX. It fills in automatically when you open sign-up through the link on this page, or you can type it into the registration form yourself. The code links your account to the inviter only at the moment the account is created, and any welcome bonus is paid by Gate itself for completing tasks, mostly as vouchers.

What a Gate referral code is and what it does
A referral code (Gate also calls it an invitation code) is a tag that links your new account to whoever invited you. Gate sees where the user came from and pays the inviter a reward out of its own fee income. Nothing is taken from you.
- Links your account to the inviter, once and permanently, at sign-up.
- Makes you eligible for Gate's referral campaigns while they run; some are only for invited new users.
- Does not change your trading terms. Fees, limits and products are the same as for any new user.
- Does not unlock restricted countries and does not replace KYC.
- Is not a cash promo code. Gate pays new users for tasks under its own campaign rules.
The code is a technical link to the inviter, not a magic bonus button. What a new user actually receives is set by Gate's own campaign rules.

Gate sign-up bonus: what is on offer in November 2026
Short answer: yes, there is a bonus, but it is not cash dropped into your account for signing up. In the Rewards Hub Gate shows new users a welcome package of tasks worth 135 USDT. Most of it comes as vouchers with their own rules and expiry dates.
| Task | Reward | Condition |
|---|---|---|
| Sign up | 50 USDT, voucher | Register and log in; part of the task is time-limited |
| Identity verification (KYC) | 15 USDT, voucher | Pass document and face verification |
| First deposit | 30 USDT | Deposit at least 50 USDT |
| First trade | 30 USDT | Spot or futures trade of at least 30 USDT |
| First app download | 10 USDT, voucher | Download the Gate app for the first time |
Rewards Hub on gate.com as of 1 November 2026. No end date is shown and terms change. Check the exact rules and deadlines in the rewards section of your account.
The same page carries a headline of “up to 10,000+ USDT”. That is the advanced trading task for active traders: the first stage needs a net deposit of at least 200 USDT and 6,000 USDT of trading volume, and pays 10 USDT. The big numbers only come with very large volume, so a beginner should not count on them.
Gate referral bonus for invited friends
Gate also runs a campaign for invited users: the referral programme page says the friend gets up to 100 USDT in Earn vouchers. The tasks: pass KYC (it does not count if you were already verified), deposit and keep the funds for at least 2 hours, and complete trading tasks in the app. Vouchers must be activated within 14 days or they expire.
This campaign cannot be combined with other referral events and is closed to residents of several countries, including Belgium, the UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Turkey, Austria and South Korea. Gate does not show dates on the page, so check whether it is running when you sign up.
Gate KYC bonus and “no deposit” bonus
Gate gives a 15 USDT voucher for verification and a 50 USDT voucher for signing up. Technically neither needs a deposit. But you cannot withdraw a voucher as money: it is used inside the exchange, for example as a position voucher, and usually needs a trade to be used. The rules of each voucher are on its card.
Where to enter the Gate referral code
The code goes into the registration form, on the email or phone step. Open sign-up through a referral link and the field is already filled in. The steps are almost the same on the website and in the app, both are below.

The full walkthrough with KYC, 2FA and the first deposit is in our Gate sign-up guide.
Can you add a Gate referral code after signing up?
No. The link to the inviter is recorded when the account is created, and Gate has no “add a code later” option. Gate's own article on its referral programme (updated 27 October 2026) says the programmes target new registrations and existing accounts may not qualify for invited-user rewards.
Opening a second account just for the code makes no sense. It will not pass KYC with the same documents, and Gate treats accounts of one person as a single campaign participant. Getting around that with someone else's documents is a fast way to a ban.
Gate referral code on Reddit and “free” codes: common mistakes
Search “gate io referral code reddit” and you will find dozens of codes promising thousands of dollars. Whichever code you use, the rewards come from Gate's campaign rules, which are published in your account, not on third-party pages.
- Signing up without a code and trying to add it later. It will not work, so check the field before you submit.
- A typo in the code. UVRGV1FX contains the digit 1, not the letter I. Copy it rather than retyping.
- Someone else's code from an old tab. If you opened another referral link earlier, the form may fill in that code. Look at what is in the field.
- Believing in “10,000 USDT codes”. Those pages repeat the maximum of Gate's campaign for huge trading volume.
- Signing up from a restricted country or via VPN. The account fails KYC or gets frozen with the money inside.
- Expired vouchers. They have to be activated on time, usually within 14 days.
Nearly every problem is solved by checking the code field before you submit the form. The rest is reading the campaign terms and giving your real country of residence.
| Situation | What to do |
|---|---|
| Code field is empty | Type UVRGV1FX before submitting the form |
| Someone else's code in the field | Delete it and enter the one you want if the form allows, or reopen the link |
| Account already created without a code | Nothing to do: you can trade normally, the code does not affect your rates |
| No new-user rewards visible | Check the rewards section and your country: some campaigns exclude certain regions |
| Voucher will not activate | Read the terms on the voucher card; if it looks like an error, contact Gate support |

Gate promo code, card referral code and referral link
A referral link is just the code built into a URL: open it and the form fills in the code for you. Promo codes and vouchers are a separate thing that Gate hands out in campaigns and you redeem in the rewards section. Gate Card has its own referral programme with a separate FAQ in the help centre, and the card itself is not available everywhere.
Gate in India, Nigeria, the Philippines and other countries
India and the Philippines are named in Gate's restricted list, along with Indonesia, Pakistan, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. Residents of those countries cannot use global gate.com, and a referral code does not change that. Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Turkey and Brazil are not named in clause 2.5 as of November 2026, though Turkey is excluded from the invite-a-friend campaign.
The list is open-ended and Gate can extend it without notice, so check the restricted locations help article before signing up. If Gate is closed to you, see the referral guides for Bybit, OKX, Bitget and Binance, and check their country lists the same way.
Disclosure: how our link works
If you sign up with code UVRGV1FX, Gate pays this site a share of the commission it earns from your trades. Gate pays it from its own revenue; your rates and terms do not change. New-user rewards are paid by Gate under its own rules, and we do not add to them or guarantee them.
What trading on Gate actually costs is covered separately in our article on Gate fees.
