Binance Review 2026: Fees, Products and Where You Can Use It
Binance is the biggest crypto exchange by coin selection and liquidity, with spot, futures, options, Earn, copy trading, bots and P2P under one account. The base fee is 0.1% on spot and 0.02% maker / 0.05% taker on USDⓈ-M futures. The real question in 2026 is access: Binance is restricted or unavailable in the EU, US and UK, blocked in the Philippines, and has no naira services in Nigeria.
Contents
I've traded on Binance since 2020 and still keep my main spot balance there. This review covers what the exchange actually gives you, what a trade costs, and which countries should look elsewhere. Every number and status below was checked against Binance's official pages and news coverage as of October 2026.

What Binance is and who runs it
Binance was founded in 2017 by Changpeng Zhao (CZ) and Yi He. CZ stepped down as CEO in November 2023 as part of a settlement with US authorities, Richard Teng took over, and since December 2025 Binance has two co-CEOs: Richard Teng and Yi He. There's no single official headquarters; the group's main regulator is in Abu Dhabi (ADGM).
Binance is not a bank or a broker with deposit insurance. Your funds are protected only by the exchange's own policies and reserves, which is why I keep larger amounts in a cold wallet.
Who Binance suits and who it doesn't
- Good fit if you want a huge spot selection and deep order books on altcoins.
- Good fit for futures traders: USDⓈ-M and COIN-M perpetuals, leverage, grid bots, copy trading.
- Good fit in India, where Binance has been registered with the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU-IND) since 2024.
- Not for residents of the EU, US or UK – new sign-ups are closed or restricted there.
- Problematic in the Philippines (blocked since 2024) and Nigeria (naira services and P2P removed in 2024).
Binance wins on liquidity and product range, but check your country first. If your country isn't served, the fees don't matter.

Binance products
Binance is far more than a place to buy coins. One account covers trading, passive income, P2P and, since 2026, even US stocks. What you see depends on your country: some sections are hidden in certain jurisdictions.
| Product | What it is | Who it's for |
|---|---|---|
| Spot | Buy and sell coins against USDT, USDC and other assets | Everyone – it's the base |
| USDⓈ-M and COIN-M futures | Perpetual and dated contracts with leverage, margined in stablecoins or coins | Active traders |
| Options | Options on major coins (e.g. BTCUSDT) settled in USDT | Experienced traders hedging positions |
| Earn | Flexible and locked products, ETH and SOL staking, Dual Investment | Long-term holders |
| Copy trading | Copy lead traders on futures and spot | People still learning to trade |
| Trading bots | Spot grid, futures grid, futures DCA, funding rate arbitrage bot | Ranging markets and disciplined entries |
| P2P | Buy and sell crypto for local currency directly with other users | Funding the account and cashing out |
| US stocks and bStocks | US stocks and ETFs via a partner broker, tokenized bStocks on BNB Chain | People who want stocks next to crypto |
As of October 2026, per Binance's official pages. Product availability depends on your country of residence.
On stocks: from 1 June 2026 Binance opened trading in more than 7,000 US stocks and ETFs to non-US users through the broker Nest Trading, with fractional purchases from $5. On 12 June 2026 it launched bStocks – tokens each backed by a real share held by a custodian. The first pairs were TSLAB, NVDAB, MUB, CRCLB and SNDKB against USDT, tradable 24/7. A bStock is a certificate, not the share itself. We explain how these tokens work in tokenized stocks.
Binance fees: spot and futures
For a regular user (no VIP tier) the fees are simple. A maker adds a limit order to the book; a taker hits an existing price with a market order.
| Market | Maker | Taker | Paying with BNB |
|---|---|---|---|
| Spot | 0.1% | 0.1% | 0.075% / 0.075% (25% off) |
| USDⓈ-M futures | 0.02% | 0.05% | 0.018% / 0.045% (10% off) |
| P2P (buying from an ad) | – | – | Check the fee shown on the ad |
As of October 2026: spot from the official table at binance.com/en/fee/schedule, futures from Binance's USDⓈ-M fee support article (updated 1 May 2026). The BNB discount on futures only applies if BNB sits in your futures wallet.
A quick example. Buying 1,000 USDT of BTC with a market order on spot costs 1 USDT in fees, or 0.75 USDT paid in BNB. On futures, 100 USDT of margin at ×10 leverage is a 1,000 USDT position: entering and exiting at market costs 1,000 × 0.05% × 2 = 1 USDT – that's 1% of your margin on a single round trip. This is why scalpers use limit orders.

Withdrawal fees are separate: each coin and network has its own, shown in the withdrawal window before you confirm. On futures you also pay or receive funding, which on long-held positions can exceed the trading fee itself.
How to find your USDT address on Binance
- Open Wallet and tap Deposit.
- Choose USDT.
- Pick the network – it must match the network the sender uses (for example TRC20, BEP20 or ERC20).
- Copy the address or show the QR code to the sender.
USDT has a different address for each network, and a network mismatch is the most common way people lose a transfer. Check it twice.
Where Binance is available
This is the most important part of the review. Between 2023 and 2026 Binance left or limited several large markets, and the picture keeps changing.
| Country or region | Status | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| India | Available | Registered with FIU-IND in 2024 after paying a penalty for earlier PMLA non-compliance |
| Nigeria | Limited | Naira services and P2P removed in March 2024; Binance has not registered with Nigeria's SEC |
| Philippines | Blocked | Access blocked since 2024 at the SEC's request; a sandbox entry via BlockShoals is planned from H2 2026 |
| EU | Restricted since 1 July 2026 | No MiCA licence: new sign-ups and some services restricted, withdrawals still available |
| United States | Not served | US users go to Binance.US, a separate company with a separate account |
| United Kingdom | No new users since 2023 | Binance plans to apply for an FCA licence under the new regime |
As of October 2026, based on Binance announcements and reporting by Reuters, Cointelegraph, The Block and Business Today. Check the restricted-countries list in Binance's Terms of Use before signing up.
Russia is a separate case. Binance exited in 2023 amid Western sanctions, sold the business to CommEX and switched off rouble P2P on 31 January 2024, while EU-based crypto providers are barred from serving Russian nationals and residents under Article 5b of EU Regulation 833/2014.
Binance vs Binance.US is a common question: they are different companies. Binance.US serves only US residents, has a smaller coin list and no access to the global futures market. Binance vs Binance TH is similar – Binance TH is a separate local exchange in Thailand. If you live outside those countries, you're on the global binance.com.
Using a VPN or someone else's documents to get around a country block is a bad idea: accounts get frozen during checks, sometimes with funds inside. If Binance isn't open to you, look at Bybit, OKX or Bitget, each with its own country rules.
Binance verification
You can't do anything on Binance without KYC: new users must verify to deposit and trade, and older unverified accounts are set to withdraw-only. The process itself is standard.
- Country of residence and document type: passport, national ID or driver's licence (the list depends on your country).
- Photos of both sides of the document, or a phone scan via QR code.
- A liveness face check: no glasses, hats or filters, good lighting.
- Confirm your personal details – they can't be edited afterwards.
- Wait for the review and the result email.
Verification takes a few minutes of your time, but the data is final once confirmed. Check your name and date of birth before you submit.
Your verification level sets your withdrawal limits, visible on the Identification page. For larger amounts Binance may also ask for proof of address or source of funds. The full walkthrough is in our Binance registration and verification guide.
Binance P2P
P2P is a marketplace: you buy USDT from another user and pay them by bank transfer or e-wallet, while Binance holds their coins in escrow until they confirm payment. In many countries outside the EU and US it's the main way to get local money in and out.
- Pick sellers with many completed trades and a high completion rate.
- Pay only from an account in your own name, only to the details shown in the order.
- Don't tap Paid until the money has actually left, and don't release coins until you see the money in your bank.
- Keep all communication in the order chat – it's your evidence if there's a dispute.
Binance P2P is as safe as your discipline with escrow rules. Most losses come from leaving the order chat or paying third parties.
Which local currencies and payment methods appear depends on your country – in Nigeria, for example, naira P2P was removed in 2024. Cashing out safely is covered in withdraw USDT to card, and the general rules are in our P2P section.
Trading futures on Binance
Binance's futures terminal is one of the most convenient: position calculator, cross or isolated margin, a funding timer above the order book. Convenience doesn't change the maths, though. At ×20 leverage a 5% move against you wipes the margin, and liquidity won't save you.
Before your first trade, read up on leverage, liquidation and cross vs isolated margin. Work out your liquidation price in advance with the liquidation calculator.
Binance pros and cons
Pros
- Top liquidity and tight spreads on popular pairs
- Hundreds of spot coins and perpetuals on most of them
- Low base fees plus a BNB discount
- P2P with escrow for local-currency funding
- Earn, bots, copy trading and US stocks in one account
Cons
- Restricted or unavailable in the EU, US, UK and the Philippines
- Mandatory KYC with no exceptions
- Long regulatory history, including the 2023 US settlement
- Support often replies with templates, P2P disputes can drag on
- Busy interface for beginners
If your country is served, Binance is a strong choice for spot and futures. Almost all the downsides are about regulation and access, not the trading itself.
Binance vs alternatives
Binance vs Trust Wallet isn't a fair comparison: Trust Wallet is a self-custody wallet where you hold the keys, while on Binance the exchange holds your coins. In practice people use both – trade on the exchange, store long-term holdings in a wallet. Local exchanges like CoinDCX, CoinSwitch or Coins.ph are built around local currency rails and local rules, while Binance offers a far wider market. Among global exchanges, the closest alternatives are Bybit for futures, OKX for a broad product range and Gate for rare altcoins. The full comparison is in crypto exchanges.
